Friendship Meals
Friendship Meals
Divine Mercy Missions assists in coordinating and serving Friendship Meals at Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish. The meals are offered every fourth Sunday of the month from September to June.
Our volunteers also take time to share a meal and chat with our guests.
BBQ – June to September
Every Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. during the summer months, DMM serves hamburgers and beverage to the hungry and thirsty.
During this time, the Street Ministry offers a listening ear and will pray with individuals who express a need for prayers.

The Knights of Columbus 932 served pizza to the poor and homeless at SOYA. We had about 40 people and 6 volunteers

Street Ministry
Street Ministry
In the summer months our Street Ministry Team walks along Queen and Gore Streets, ministering to the underserved by listening to them and praying with them. We hand out Sacramentals such as Rosaries, medals, and prayer cards. We welcome all who have a compassionate heart for the poor and needy, to join us.
During winter months, with the Divine Mercy Trailer in tow, our Street Ministry team hand out coats, mitts, toques, scarves and blankets to those in need. We hope to be able to provide hot chocolate and a small meal from the trailer in the future.
Volunteers are always welcome!
Eucharistic Ministry
Eucharistic Ministry
There are many Nursing and Retirement homes where residents are unable to attend Sunday Mass. Our Eucharistic Ministry Team, provide Communion Services in a group setting or will bring Communion to those individuals who are unable to leave their rooms.
We also provide Communion to those individuals who are home bound due to illness or old age.
